Experience an innovative digital art experience at teamLab Borderless, with interactive artworks transforming a vast space in Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills. Visitors engage with cutting-edge technology in an exhibition that redefines the connection between art and spectatorship.
In a new building part of the Azabudai Hills development in central Tokyo, teamLab Borderless offers a digital art exhibition that goes beyond traditional art boundaries. Covering 10,000 square meters, the space allows visitors to interact with the art. The use of projection mapping and sensors enables the art to change with human interaction, creating a canvas that evolves with each visitor.
The journey through interconnected rooms replaces the concept of a static gallery with a dynamic exploration of art. Themes of natural phenomena are explored through digital means. Highlights include the Forest of Resonating Lamps and the Crystal World, with LED bulbs and mirrors that amplify light and reflections.
The exhibition is recognized globally and has welcomed visitors from around the world. It serves as a cultural phenomenon that blends technology, art, and human engagement, providing a unique experience for those interested in the evolution of art and digital advancements.
Visitors are also drawn to the interactive cultural experiences, like the teahouse where digital flowers bloom in cups of tea, illustrating the blend of tradition and technology.
Please note: teamLab Borderless relocated to the new Azabudai Hills building from it’s former Odaiba location, opening it’s new doors on 9 February 2024.
